Back in the 80's in Miami, I had a friend of mine with a very nice Karman Ghia. It was constantly getting broken into. Even an alarm didn't help.

He finally went to an Army surplus place and bought a decomissioned hand grenade. He hung it from the rear-view mirror in plain view.

Then he had a string tied to the ring on the pin that appeared to be attached to the driver's door.

He never got robbed again. Curiously, the cops never hassled him about it either.

Predator, al my stuff was stealth El Kamillion deck subs and amps were bolted down- they used screwdrivers and other various tools to pry everything, Frankly my car wouldnt have gotten thrashed if it was done wrong :p They hit a bunch. i imagine they saw my radar jammer and then dicovered the stearo equipment in the truck once inside....

Its amazing that 10 cars in the same area got broke into yet no one noticed anything... probably some punks that live in the same complex...

Tried a good car alarm? Although now days they go off so much, most people just ignore them.

The kind you need is one that shocks another senseless if they try anything.

Sorry Bill. :(

heh. Actually i think they do. I beleive a tesla coil does that, but its WAY more then you would prolly wanna spend for security?? lol

thats why you should stick the radar jammer under the car :p

FYI: Most states have laws against shock devices for use as security devices on vehicles.

Are you serious? So, you can't impliment a homemade security system on your car to protect YOUR property? Doesn't that seem kind of silly? Or, is this for the law enforcement's sake, just in case they need to get in your car? AND, what about James Bond's 7 series in Tomorrow Never Dies...he had electricity rigged security system?? :p

I can honestly say I know how it feels...last Monday, for the fourth time in 11yrs my car got hit (there were 13 others)...luckily our stolen goods were recovered. (due to stupid thieves...see pic below) But it's cost me $300 for my deductible, which I'm fighting for with the realty company that owns these buildings, since they aren't providing any type of security but charging us for a parking space.

That's $1800 worth of damage.
Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. :D
