These Bartons seem to be bow wows, at least mine is, when it comes to FSB. I've tried everything to get this oinker to run at 200FSB and it's a no go. I've cut #2 L12 bridge on the cpu, switched the boot drive from IDE to SATA, enabled/disabled the on onboard sound, raised the voltages, lowered the voltages, redid the AS3 on the cpu and tried every multi x fsb you can imagine.
I checked the ram via memtest86 and it chugs along with no errors at FSB speeds up to 220. It ain't the ram. My PSU voltages aren't any worse or better than what I'm seeing in here either. What are you gonna do ??!!

I'm a stickler for stability and unless I can do anything I want to do and run prime95 at the same time, it isn't stable in my book.
Bottom line is the sweet spot for this cpu is exactly 12x186 FSB ( 2233 MHz). At that combo this thing will run prime95, folding, and play GTA3 all at the same time! I was kind of hoping to run at or over 200 FSB but it ant gonna happen. Heat doesn't seem to be prob at all and when I add voltage it seems to become less stable. Go figure.
All told, a 400 Mhz OC isn't too bad especially when you throw in the extra L2 cache that you get. In that I took a year off from upgrading, I'm pretty happy with this new batch of stuff.
I will however be getting one of those 10K Raptors as soon as my credit union slush fund fills up a little more. Maybe the price will come down in the meantime.
