Post by BillyGoat »

well, i think by the end of summer i will have to get a barton, the thrill of my 2.5 p4 has worn off
and i dont know if i can wait for the claw hammer

I was looking at the epox EP-8RGA+

This looks like an awesome board , what do you think
It has onoard gf4 mx with two heads it looks like

Could i through my ti4200 in there and run 4 monitors?
or even three?

Thanks
Bill

well, i think m$ 64 os will be out when they lauch hammer, or it would be a flop.... I think amd will push back release, to ensure a successful launch, I will be getting a barton b4 then and I will get a hammer. But i dont think that will be the MOBO i use

BTW: welcome to PCA! Be sure to check out our Distributed forum and our folding at home effort ;)

Barton will remain AMD's main product for a while. Athlon64 is going to be expensive and not available in any sort of great number this year. I think it wise to wait and see how it performs while the kinks get worked out.

Why not? My NF7-S version 2.0 is running like a striped ape ! Love it. If you're thinking' of the Epox 8RDA3+, talk to Nexus_7 first.
