Yea I never knew there was a lawsuit. I am only going on what I know. I have sold about 20 used fuji drives in the past year. And not one has failed. But these do work great for slave drives. I have used mine for a long time now. O well sorry guys.

I run one myself and researched a bit about the problem and it seems to be in 24/7 operations where a component from a third party supplier may overheat due to a substandard material in the chip. Fuj is pretty good about their customer support and mention this problem on their web site as well.

I've contacted them to see if they might replace mine as I wouldn't use it as a main drive now but I dont run it a lot.

This is still a great value for home use as a secondary drive especially if the warranty is still in effect(3 years)
