What Heatsink do you use? Temps?
Just checking up on what heatsinks you guys have and whats your temps..
Right now i am useing a
Thermalright SLK-947U
My temps are..
Idle - 20's
Full load - in between 24-26
I think its decent.. i mean its a nice big heatsink..
+ it has a 80mm 4led fan.. so wait till i get a better one.

Pretty Low Temps..
I have the following..
Cheiftec Dragon Full Tower case
2x80mm intake
2x80mm exhaust (technically this is three if you count the fan in the PSU)
Using a Tt Volcano 9 Cool Mod (80mmx38mm) @ Full Speed
Epox 8RDA+
XP1700+ Tbred B @ 2.10ghz
512MB Corsair XMS PC3200
WD 800JB HD (in CoolerMax HD cooler)
52x24x52 LiteOn
Ti4400 w/stock cooling
Temps at idle - 36*C
Temps at load - 40*C
Not bad for a 42% Overclock..
My other rig (2nd Biggest)
Midtower case w/1x80mm intake and an OLD squirrelcage fan for exhaust (you saw it at PCALAN I think)
Using a Zalman 6000AlCu HSF w/92mm fan at full speed
ECS K7S5A
XP1800+ @ 1.64ghz
512MB PC133
2xMaxtor 80GB HDs
No optical drives
Saphire (Radeon) 9000 w/Vantec Iceberg cooler
Temps at idle - 38*C
Temps at load - 42*C
I know these temps are high, but the case is too small to get any "good" airflow possibilities. Going to be modding another older case I have soon to replace this one and selling it.
Those are the only rigs I have worth talkin' about.. Though the g/fs rig we just built her, a Celery 667@830mhz runs 23* Idle and 27* load..

You probably want to include what CPU you are using that on and what not.
Me:
slk800 with a quiet 80mm fan mid 30's to high 30's when taxed
its a 1700+ that is not oc'ed much.

Ok everything i have is in my sig..
so if i can overclock LMK
i wana give it a test..
i shoulda checked the markings on my cpu before i installed that heatsink.. its a biatch to take off and install again.

I don't see...
Why you couldn't OC it.. It just depends on what the bios will let you do. Go into the bios and look for Plug and Play CPU settings or Advanced Settings.. or something like that.. Some mobos are very limited as to what they allow you to do/set.. GL eGO

I have spent hours getting mine nice and cool and quiet.
I have a Slim 80mm fan blowing on the back of my mboard behind the cpu and north bridge. I have 3 intakes in the front of my case, in addition to an 80mm fan attached to pci back plae blowing UP onto the videocard and beyind (also moving the stagnent air from the bottom to the exhust), 2 fans sucking air out, and a tri fan PS.

A lot depends on the system setup, room temp and case cooling. Just changed mobo's today and this shuttle runs the cpu around 7 degrees F warmer than the asus I previously used.
SLK900-A w/92mm tornado controlled by a sunbeam fan controller. If on a quiet 2600rpm, the temp is 95f idle, 102f load. With the room temp 75.
mobo monitor is rarely accurate, btw. You need a temp sensor under the cpu. Actually, best is on the cpu, but we can't do that.
