Repair manual ?

Anyone know where I can find a free online manual for a Compaq 715US ? I need something that shows how to get the case open. I'm thinking that there should be some dips or jumpers that would allow for O/Cing.

This may or may not help you out, but check out http://communities.compaq.com/ - it's a user driven community with everything from first time users to Compaq Master ASE's posting. Give it a shot, I bet you can find something on it.
