Lego's kick ass!!!! I still have all of my old sets about 12 of them. About half of them are 500+ pieces with mechanically moving gear boxes and pistons in the engines. I always liked those sets. Once i get a new place i'm planning on putting them back together and up on shelves in the living room. Cause they rock :D

yea.. i liked the old lego "blocks" compared to todays crap. i also like the tecnika stuuf they made... i once made a punmatic catapult that would launch golf balls about 25-30 feet. that thing was cool. i think if i sat down i could build it again.. but i dont think i have many legos left after parents sold them all.

god.. them kenex things are allmost as cool as my old Erector set. i was watchin my cousin after xmast and he had gotten like 3 set of them knex things... took me a while to get the hang of them. he had this huge ass roller coaster set. me and him had to spend a good 4-5 hours building it. the thing was supposed to have a crank for the lift thingy... but he had this motor in another set so i tought him how to make a gear box and he made it motorized. then he took part of the coaster apart and used the chain to make a pair of tank tracks and he made like a huge gear box and put it in the tank thingy and it went so slow... but it would climb over all sorts of stuff. that is one smart kid... cant wait till he gets older and gets in to bigger stuff.

does anybody here remember girders (sp)? they were plastic and you could build bridges and buildings? they resembled actual girders. i cant find any pics... but i made a few towers and put my sheets on them to make a huge ass fort in my room.

These are the legos that my 2-year old is playing with. These are the worst for re-building things, all the parts are really made for the set

I believe it was girder and panels? I have some I think somewhere, they had the little plastic window sheets that you could stick onto the plastic girders? Those were awesome

About 1/2 way down, The General Mills Era Series: 1974 to 1979, that's what I had with the base plate and then black plastic girders and window sheets :)

In fact I had the same one as pictured, the sears tower set, I beleive we had three of them (one for me and my 2 brothers). I even think my parents may still have them tucked away somewhere (obviously not in perfect condition anymore) but I know I've seen them :)

they rocked :)
