Palm vs MS products: Which and Why?

Post by Mutant_Lead »

Hi All,
The Boss said I could get a nicer PDA, so I was wondering which OS/Product is your favorite and why? I plan on using the PDA to run an MS word comptatible word processor, date book, and definitely some covert gaming. I was looking at the Tapwave Zodiac for a palm device-any other suggestions for either a palm device or an MS product? Thanks!

I use a Compaq IPAQ. you can read just about any microsoft file format. I think the CE devices are more networkable as well, as well as more add on memory, etc...etc.

Go for the Treo 650. You can take pics (good ones), email, phone people (direct from the contact list), and its SD card compatible. I got my boss one and he has been very happy. I must suggest though, while we may not all agree on palm/pocket we should all agree that blackberry sux. (I fight with my friends about what is better: Xbox or Playstation (I'm for the Xbox, it has better stats, and it has Halo 2) and although we dissagree about PS vs Xbox, we all can agree that game cube sux badly.) Wireless keyboard is also nice. Definitly get some extra software, like Adobe reader. It makes your investment 100X more worth it. Dim your screen down and sit back and read a good book. Get an SD card and you can fit nearly 140 coppies of war and peace on it! Lotsa fun.
