HOPEFULLY i say again
i keep reading about all these overclocked systems
and say why not me
i have gigabyte easytune4 and am curious as to what to do with it my current sys temp is 29c and cpu temp is 56c
i read that my cpu can run at nearly 75-80c is that true
and am very curious about oc'ing my vid card 9200se just to see i know its a low end card but why not learn on something cheap huh where do i start it seems i have control over the cpu voltage dram volt. agp volt.
dram,agp,pci freq. control and sys bus is at 133 can these be pumped up at what increments and is this controled by the easytune or do i have to do other mod in bios or other area of the computer cause theres a GO button that i hit on easytune and whammo is that all???
also where do i find my temps and stuff on my vid card

Actually CRITICAL temp for an athlon processor is 75-80*C. This means it will fail at these temps and can cause damage to the processor. 56*C seems pretty high for an Athlon, what type of cooling are you using?

its stock cooling i just read a post that amd xp will fry at 120c so what do you mean by 75-80 being critical or is that just max stable setting

56 IS pretty toasty, dont recommend operating much higher then that for stability issues
at 70-80 is where the silica starts to melt

ok i used easytune4 and turned up the sys bus to 177 and got 2301mhz and dram went to 424 agp went from 60 to 70 cpu temp stayed at 56c
did anything happen or do i have to change things in bios also

I'd suggest better cpu cooling. Anything by thermalright or the volcano 12 from thermaltake.

It isn't 100% accurate, but better than nothing. To get the temp of your video card you'll need a temp sensor, something like that which you can attach to the video card by tape:

Also, what are your specs. Like what cpu and ram you using?

Ditto i would recommend better cooling and yeah use the Bios to overclock not third party programs(i dont trust them).

aim for a temp under 60 for load and in the 50s for idle nothing over 60 though.

like my 2100+ Barton;

41 Idle
47 Load

just with air cooling it can go to 50 load if the heating is on. Havnt overclocked it loads yet as my 2100 Ram wont let me go very far infact only lets me up the FSB by 4 b4 it crashes but never mind ill be upgrading soon.

is it better to have lower multiplyer for heat reasons--it is locked i cannot change it on easytune

my stock fsb on cpu 333 166x2 so 175x2=350fsb
what is the high end fsb oc,s on the 2700+ cpu
when poeple say 2800 running at 3200 speeds not really getting it does it not depend on mghz readings
i got an xtra 100 mghz should they not post their increase in mghz to actually rate the OC
i guess mine would be on the lower end
