I got a few friends in or around London. All are ok but one lives maybe 1/4 mile (i dunno what it'd be in km) from the site of one of the blasts. Supposedly the people are going crazy.

Why is Bin Laden still breathing? We should have finished the job eradicating Al Qaeda instead of getting sidetracked with Iraq.

How do you know that Bin Laden is still breathing?

Al Qaeda was essentially eradicated from the face of Afghanistan.....are you implying we should've also invaded Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran, the Phillipines, Maylasia, and every other country where Al Qaeda has a presence?

Sadly, it appears that Iraq has been a magnet for Al Qaeda sponsored terror. I realize that some people think that's a good thing, but I do not.

The war on terror is a joke. There is no war because the objective (no more terror) is an impossible outcome. It's like proclaiming a war against larceny, a war against speeding, or drunk driving. Searching (and blaming) for a "root cause" is just as foolish--even moreso as those thoughts can be construed as lending credence to the "cause" or comtemplation of appeasment. The fact of the matter is that some people are just bad. Every day people are murdered for any myriad of reasons. Terrorists are simply murderers who try to justify their lack of humanity to a "cause"......

He's more than likely hiding in Pakistan.

Hey I'm sorry, I shouldn't have added a political comment when this thread is about what is happening in Britian.

No need to apologize Red. Even though I may not agree, I do understand the sentiment.
