Quick Question(s)

Post by Pif »

I have one -uh... two quick questions- can the Toughbook cf29 have the power to play advanced video games (i.e. Quake, Doom, Planetside, ect.) and can I use my voodoo card with it? Looking forward to a reply.

Information on the toughbook series can be found at toughonline.com. Thanks

well it seems toughbooks are laptops so thats a no on the voodoo card. The cf29 is listed as 1.4ghz so you can play quake1-3 and doom1 and 2, 3 will be hard to play due to the video card(just incase you meant all versions). Cant comment on Planetside but that may sqeek by at lowest settings.

It has an Intel graphics chip - not a gaming powerhouse. Older games yes, newer games not a prayer.

Thanks, you both have been helpful. The version I'm considering is 4.6ghz. Now, will it support the graphics well?

The speed of the processor really has no bearing on how well it will play video games once you get past a certain number of Mhz..
