Well, from what I know, you have 5 1/4" speakers in the doors & 6 1/2" speakers in the rear deck. The radio opening is double DIN, so a kit will probably be necessary. It is a pretty easy car to work on.

What about are you wanting to do with it?

head unit, & speakers. Can't I go with 6X9 in the rear instead of 6 1/2"?

You could go with 6x9" speakers, but that's at your discretion. I don't know what the mounting holes look like. If you're going with 6x9" speakers, the Panasonics are very nice in my opinion.

For the head unit, about the only things I've got left are:

(2)Rampage ACD-12 CD Players New 7wx4 $35 each
&
Pioneer DEH-1000 CD Player Non-Detachable Face 45Wx4 $30

I haven't been updating like I should.

CJ-DA6910 are two way and disadvantage to a three way 6X9? you think tthe stock radio has enough cojones to push them until I decide on an aftermarket head unit?

If you ever go to a competition or read a stereo magazine, you'll find that the less speakers the better. The 3-way/4-way/5-way thing is just a gimmick to up the price of a set of speakers without putting too much of an investment in them. I'd take a good 2-way speaker any day over a pair of 3-ways. Honestly, when have you run into a stereo that couldn't put out enought treble? Enough ranting for me (I've heard this question many times).

The speakers will definatly sound better than the factory ones even with the stock radio. With an aftermarket one, they should sound great. I just hooked a guy up with 4 of those Panasonics in his rear deck powered with 50 watts each (real watts from an amp, not the fake wattage from a stereo). They sounded like I put a pair of 10" subs in the thing.

No prize, but you do get a box :D

They do come with grills & are like new in the box. In fact, I'm not all together sure that they have ever been used.

wow.. glad i read that other post of yours. you have some stuff i was just going to go looking for on ebay. I need a distro block thats insulated and can take like 8-6ga in and split it in 2 of equil guge. also that fuse holder. I think i need one i cant remember if my main lead for all my roof lights has one or not. I think i put one in but i have to look.

amps and speakers! are you def yet! umm let me go look again... been thingkin of putting in a small carputer and would need some small 4 way amps. well hell I dont know whats what by looking. I would need a 4x** amp that has internal crossovers. mainly to run small fronts and rears. I have a small sub and amp and its all set. i would just need to replace a head unit amp since it would go away when the computer goes in. reccomend something and ill see what i can do.

Yup, I've got plenty of distribution blocks. Both fused & non. All take up to 4-gauge in & 8 out.

Actually, I don't listen to my stereo nearly as loud as my obcession makes it appear. I really am more of a sound quality addict than an SPL addict (though my system is plenty capable of either). I highly recommend the Verge VGA460 amps for 4 channel amps. Lots of crossover options, honest power figures, & good build quality.
