House for rent/sale

Post by WiseÄss »

Some of you know I've been trying to sell my house, well the market is saturated, with 40some houses in my neighborhood alone and roughly 300some in Aurora itself, theres simply too much of a choice for homes, so I'm trying to rent. The house is still listed for-sale, but if I get a renter in contract I'll pull it off the market, or if it sells, I'll stop trying to rent it out.

I compared prices around the area of Aurora (Naperville, Oswego, Plainfield, Lisle, etc) for roughly the same spec apartment/townhome/house to come up with the price, so if you want to look for yourself go ahead and check.

Here's the listing from Craigslist:

Spacious and Open 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath attached house for rent, only 3 years old!

$1400/month, includes water, lawn care, snow removal and exterior maintenance.

All other utilities (phone, gas, electric, garbage pickup, etc, must be in renters name and tennants responsibility.)

Cable ready, High-speed internet ready. Alarm system available for extra monthly fee (also to be in renters name)

2 car attached garage with electric opener and outside keypad entry, plenty of storage, spacious master bedroom with private shouwer and huge walk-in closet, 2 large extra bedrooms with large closets, full second bath on 2nd floor, powder room downstairs off kitchen.

3 year old appliances, dishwasher, gas range/oven, garbage disposal, fridge, washer/dryer in unit with laundry tub.

Large side-yard with sliding glass door access.

Central Air, and forced heat furnace (gas)

Plenty of cabinet and pantry space in kitchen with vinyl flooring.

Spacious Dining area and large living room with hardwood floors.

Carpeted stairs hallway, and bedrooms on 2nd floor, vinyl tile in bathrooms.

Close vicinity to Premium Outlet Mall and Fox Valley Shopping Center, walking distance to schools, minutes from major expressways, 45 minutes from Downtown Chicago, 10 minutes from CTA and Metra stations.

Miles of public bike trails and walking paths surround the neighborhood.

All renters subject to credit and reference checks, $30 non-refundable fee required for credit check, security deposit required, 1 year minimum lease required, non-smokers only please.

Email for appointment or questions.

* this is in or around Aurora/Oswego Area

pics attached.

If you or anyone are interested, please feel free to post or pm me.

Just getting it out there for now.

here is the craigslist listing, it's only there for a week so I'll have to keep re-posting it.

Greg knows me pretty well and I think he can/will vouch for me? I havn't visited back here in quite some time but I've attended quite a few PCA Lans in the past and met quite a bit of you.

Just thought I'd toss this out there before I started hitting the pay sites for rental properties.

if anyone is interested in buying/renting, please feel free to ask.

Funny, I was just going to mention that. I actually own one that looks very similar, but larger. Though, I do give credit for nice lamps & shades.

lol "Upgraded Fixtures" = home depot clearance + friends employee discount!

and yeah, no fooling on the price, while searching for a range, I found several 800-900sq ft 2 bedroom apartments, (no garage, 2nd and 3rd floor, no utils) going for $1300!!!

And what strikes me as even odder is that people PAY for that!
