This is all new to me and had to learn fast but mistakes were made.
At the store while I was buying the Panasonic TH-50PX75U the sales man told me I needed buy high end composite cables so I do.
A few days later the setup guys deliver it, install it, and tell me I really should have HDMI cable and hooks to my comcast box using some cheap composites I had laying on the floor.. Didn't even use the new high end ones saying it will make no difference with what you have for input..
After some talk I founld out my cable box dons't even have HDMI out or even HD capability. (only going get 480 out of 720)
(I can't buy 1080 right now but someday
While woundering what HD even looks like I went tp BB and bought a Toshiba HD DVD player that and can also up convert regular dvds. Then the cable thing starts.. The two dizzy blonds want me to buy 2 monster HDMI cables @ 129 each. They were so cute but I wanted a tech and ask em to get me one. They coun't do it..
Screw this an bought 1 HDMI monster for 100 and 1 Rocketfish for 69..So I'm ready to run the Dvd player went I get home and ready for comast when they show up..
The DVD player hook up was simple.. HDMI out to HDMI #2 to the tv.
Works geat. I saved HDMI #1 for comcast and made my call.. She says we will need an HDMI input.. Id said yes ready you will be #1 and cables are ready. Shes confused and asks how many HDMI inputs You have?
I tell her 2. She tells me she never heard of 2 and wants to know what I have..
Anyway Comcast showed up and set up the HD box on HDMI # 1 and works fine.
Just wonderind if I need to keep these high end mostercables (conposite cerifite THX cables) There nice but would I ever use them?
Sign me the Village idiot but learnin, and I gotta go ohhh good sufff up!
