finally broke here last night - a frigid 65 here this morning - where's my parka?

Here in the high desert area (Hemet, CA), temps can be over 110°F, but the humidity is 10% or less. I can tolerate temps up to 105°F just fine, but once it starts pushing more than 105, I have to be inside; however, if you go to Laughlin, Nevada, it can be quite hot.

Three years ago, my wife and I decided to go to Laughlin for some weekend gambling. After driving 4 hours, we open our car door to be completely shocked at the temperature outside: 124°F. The guy at the Casino said it will cool down to 95°F at midnight LOL. Anyway, you have no idea how hot is until you actually are in it. Laughlin, Nevada is at the corner of California, Arizona, and Nevada. See map below:

Out here in the Pacific NW nothing but clouds / rain at times and only highs in the mid 50's. Very unseasonably cool here. I think today and through Monday we are going to finally get tho the low 70's with some sun.

I'm about as pasty white as you can get ... :)
