Acer Laptop Problem

I have this acer laptop that i want to reinstall xp home and when i go into the Bios and go to boot menu i can't change anything it says that you must be a system supervisor and won't allow changes to anything any reason why i can't change it i never put a password on it nor would i and its locked me out

it says
If any items require changes, please consult your system supervisor
I think since i bought this laptop brand new that im the supervisor

they can't since its out of warranty they were stupid they said it was something with my windows i was like WTF and she told me to call microsoft but its making me so mad stupid acer

Tell the people at Acer you need the BIOS password reset. It has nothing to do with Windows.

Many laptops have a reset on the bottom of them though. Just look underneath for something that says reset and use a paper clip to reset it.
When all else fails, replace the user.

well thanks for the help i guess since the boot order is hard drive then cd i will just format the drive and make it boot from cd
