Yeah, especially the new ones. Usually made and shipped from China. I got an extended life one for a friend a few years ago. Barely lasted 30 minutes & died within a few months.

ive had good luck with the ones off ebay, although a few were oem ones. the chinese one im using right now has japanese cells and lasts ok, 5 hrs. on super power saver mode.
