I saw these for sale at a mall in Miami when I was down there a couple of weeks ago. They were asking $40 for them in a kiosk, which sounded pricey but they were gorgeous. Many of them are of famous artwork.
I checked online when I got home and found them on Amazon for $30 with free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... kin+laptop
They also make these for iPhones, Kindles and iPads.
VERY easy to install and remove. I actually tested the latter because once I installed mine I realized it was upside down when being looked at by someone else when the lid is flipped up (DOH!). So I had to carefully peel it off and re-install it.
This stuff is printed on a 3m product called ControlTac which is a graphic vinyl used for large commercial advertising signs. It's the same film they use to wrap an entire car or bus with a graphic.
It does not immediately stick until you apply pressure, so it's easily re-positioned until you get it right.
This video from the Gelaskin website demonstrates how easy it is to apply, and it REALLY is that easy. No worries about bubbles. There's a grid texture on the glue side that I think eliminates bubbles.

I ordered the 13.3" "Underworld" laptop skin which was a perfect fit for my Acer TimelineX laptop. No trimming required. Here's a photo:
