I'd like to backup a copy of Alice for a friend, but it seems clonecd and diskjuggler both choke. my teac 8/24 is clonecd compatible, so i did a little poking around and "Safe disk 2" comes up.

is there a list of burners that can hack it?

I'm not too sure but if you haven't already checked Game Copy World, that's a great place to start -

http://www.gamecopyworld.com

On the left frame, see the article on cd protections and buy a cd writer.

I fyour burner works with Clone CD, you can backup Safedisk 2, the only "gotcha" in that the burned CD must be used in the burner. Most Safedisk 2 stuff can only work in the burner, unlike Securom 2 which, if you can read and burn subchannel data, can be used in anything except the burner.
FWIW, I copied Alice, and have to play it with the burner, but NOLF works in any CD-Rom I've tried. Evidentially, Safedisk 2 varies from CD to CD.

My 8x Yamaha was able to burn Undying. Still had to use the no cd patch though.

Probably the best place to look for answers would be here
http://www.welcome.to/cloneclinic in the forums.

the best method I found is dump the cd image into hd using clondcd with subchannel reading enable, use other burning software to copy the image files into cd, bring it to a friends house who has a bottom of the barrow cdrw (acer, philips, iomega, creative lab, no name ) and ask them to burn the cd using the image you provided. Oh besure to bring clond cd along.
