My guess would be its more a matter of both planes screwing up. Its not like the Americans were just on a happy joy ride and suddenly, the evil Chinese fighters came in out of nowhere and ruined a beautiful day. Neither side is being completely truthful in this (not that one would expect them to be).

And I can't go to Anand's <b>dadx2mj</b>. I've been banned there. Thrice. :) (Can anyone else beat that? :p ) For some time now I might add. Besides, its no fun when 80 more posts appear in the time it takes you to write 10 lines and they all say the exact same thing that you just said. Just too many people over there. ;)

I was under the impression that China had been sending fighters for a while to harass US planes in that area.

They have poop. Our military had been complaining about the overly aggresive tactics of the chinese fighter pilots. That obviously played a big part in this collision. That big plane can't maneuver as quickly as that nimble fighter can so the at fault is pretty clear to me.

Hey Blade, I was away from a day and this BS just exploded! It's just a stupid joke, you seems to be the first one that's dead serious about it. Sorry if you think I did it on purpose, I edited it out already. :)

How is asking your mommie to give you a spankin acting horny? Notice the smiley, it was a joke. It sure doesn't deseve that "fvck yourself" comment. Bit was joking too, notice the smiley? But joking mentioning ones mom like that can be construed the wrong way I agree.

Back on subject, wouldn't china look so much better if we made it into desert lanscaping? :lol I don't mean that of course but they ain't making any new friends for sure and they better not be expecting any future favors. They can lay down and die for all I care about their lame asses.

from china:

<i>``The U.S. side should apologize to the Chinese people,'' Jiang said in Beijing before leaving on a visit to Latin America, according to the Xinhua News Agency. ``The United States should do something favorable to the smooth development of China-U.S. relations, rather than make remarks that confuse right and wrong and are harmful to the relations.''</i>

from the usa:

<i>``We have nothing to apologize for. We did not do anything wrong. Our airplane was in international air space, an accident took place, and the pilot, in order to save 24 lives, including his own, under circumstances we now have determined must have been hair-raising, safely got that plane on the ground.''</i>

And because of that they are holding our plane and our crew. Gee, ya think we'll be making any future emergency landings on china territory. Wouldn't it be so funny if one of their planes had to land on usa land, eh.

Reading more about this china seems to be making up their own rules and not going by international law. Which they rarely honor anyway.

<i>"China is the injured party. First of all, the responsibility issue must be clearly defined," Chinese Ambassador Yang Jiechi told CNN in an interview Wednesday.</i>

What an idiot.

<i>Yang conceded the aircraft was in international airspace, but "in an area very close to the airspace of China." He compared the situation to a reckless driver in a neighborhood who kills a family member.</i>

Say what? Like I said, he's an idiot. "Very close" to airspace of china. Duh! And we're the usa, we're the "reckless driver".

<i>"What we've heard so far is, 'You are to blame. Our airplane wouldn't do anything like that.' We have all the facts to show the American airplane made an abrupt turn," Yang said."</i>

Ok, where is the proof? Just saying "our plane would never do that" just says how stupid they are. Duh!

Blame Canada! Blame Canada! sorry.. that song from that stupid ass movie south park popped in my head. Personally I think its about time America as a country stood up for itself and stopped getting crapped on by these other countries. We should send in special forces and kill everyone in the chinese government and make sure we put the people WE want in place of them. ;)

Sorry Coco. Reading it now sounds totally different than how I meant it... and believe me if I could f*ck myself I'd do it night and day.

The double standard the rest of the world sets with china is incredible. We go and shake their hand if they haven't been AS brutal on their own people for awhile. If a Chinese plane where to drop in the western world, we'd send them back the next day first class with bottles of champaign.

I'm pretty sure we let the Chinese government get away with everything because of economic trade. "Made in China" is worth more than innocent lives.

It's their government, blade. Don't blame the people of China. Yet I do agree that a bigger Hiroshima - BaiJing style, would make things a lot simpler.

Actually, it work both way...

From Time.com

Jiang was strongly criticized for letting the U.S. off the hook too easily over the Belgrade embassy bombing two years ago, and he's clearly under pressure from the hawks in Beijing to hang tough. Some China analysts have warned that although Jiang may wish the problem would simply go away, the fact that the U.S. leadership has publicly put pressure on Beijing makes it all the more difficult to simply cave in to Washington's demands. And yet, from a U.S. perspective, a new president who has been doing his best to cultivate a tough and resolute image in international affairs is being made to look anxious and uncertain — and he, too, can't afford to project weakness, which probably rules out an apology.
China let US get away with things too, just like the embassy bombing... how would American feel if Chinese aircraft bomb a US embassy and get away with it? I completely agree to the article... if it weren't for the huge media hype on this accident, it would be over in no time...

I know bitslap, it's their lame government and most of the chinese citizens hate em too. I need to stop reading about this because their lameness is upsetting. Maybe they need a revolution to get rid of the current jokers(government)./\

America was acting as part of NATO, apologized to China over this regretable incident and compensated the Chinese. So it didn't get away with it.

China needs America more than America needs China. Like where is China going to steal most its technology from?

The totalitarianistic Chinese leadership definitely their ancient asses walloped hard.

It's a simple accident that's being hyped by the media, thus making a big ass out of it. There is no winner in this situation, both US and China will lose economically if something bad happened. And trust me, China is not in the 80s and as weak as many people think they are... they do have their technology and weapons for war if necessary, It'll be just stupid to start a war over this, and there will be no winner in a war...
