Well even if they're in the same performance ballpark as the GF3, you can be reasonably sure that the image quality will be superior to anything nvidia has out.

I had a Radeon VIVO and a GF2 64MB DDR GTS side by side for a couple days last week and not only did the Radeon wax it in any 32-bit gaming but the brilliance of color and textures was tilted heavily in favor of the VIVO as well.

As many times as I've tried to like nvidia offerings , all I ever come away with is that they ( nivida) provide speed and not much else. That's not enough to get my DO-RE-MI.

I haven't tested , used , or even seen a GF3 in action so I can't speak for those.

I agree with vid man. nVidia products are great if you want the fastest FSP possible, but if you like doin' other things with your computer, like DVD-Playback, digital recordings, etc. then Radeon is the way to go. I love it cause it's fast enough to compete but can also do many other things for me. And it does them well.

Alot of that has changed, the gf3 32bit speeds are right on it, and the image quality of the card is quite better than the geforce2 line..the techs in these 2 cards are different, but in many ways, they will be close to even...
