Has anyone seen this photograph, or know where I can get it?
The uproar began after a news photograph of a plane on the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier last week showed one bomb with the message "High Jack This," followed by an anti-homosexual remark, the Associated Press reported today.
Any bearded dyke or limpwristed girly-man should be jailed for being un-american if they bitch about that. We're fighting a WAR against scumbags who killed over 5000 people. This is NO TIME for politically correct ( OMG, I hate that term!) bullsh!t !! The people on that ship are fighting for OUR freedom and if that helps them get thru the day that's fine with me.
I too am sick of politcal correctness when it's used as a crutch. Too often PC is used to hide social issues and trends that need to be discussed in a public forum.
While I agree that the message on the bomb is a derogatory phrase that you wouldn't want to see in a public place or used in mixed company, I don't see what the big deal is in this case. These guys on the carriers are under a lot of stress (even without a war going on the deck of a carrier is a DANGEROUS place). Writing a hello message to your enemy on bombs is a very old tradition in the military and allows these guys to blow off some steam.
Hey, among a group of men working in stressful conditions a term like that (and much worse) is casually tossed around. We all know that - it's locker room talk. Setup a tape recorder in a fire station locker room and you'll hear plenty of politically incorrect words. So what? Doesn't mean that all firemen are racists or hate mongers.
If anyone deserves to be reprimanded, it's the idiot with the Navy who CLEARED that photo. Any photos taken on a carrier in combat conditions MUST go through a military censor (this is mostly to screen it for information that may help the enemy).
Someone should have been on the ball and realized that it wasn't the appropriate photo to release to the press.
Also, the AP could have shown a little common sense and not posted the photo either. It's war time, and the press - although it still needs to do it's job - needs to realize that it has it's own responsibility in a situation like this.
Nuff said... there's more important things happening in the world and political correctness isn't going to keep terrorists from hijacking a plane.

What's next? Replace the salute with limp wrist action? Give limp handshakes? The military now cannot use any pc words in the heat of battle or else.
I'm glad to see we all seem to think alike on this area. If the PC's had it there way we would all speak in coded phrases that they produced and anyone who thought or said anything that was not allowed would be sent to the south pole or some other form of separation, wait a minute, doesn’t' that kind of sound like some other group out there, some group that doesn't think it's right for a country/culture to think and do as they like, even if it's imoral or just plane nasty? Isn't there a group out there that thinks that since we don't think the exact same way they do then it's ok to run planes into our buildings?
HMMMM, I seem to be getting an idea here, since those groups are so distraught lets get em all in one building, bring that pretty jet back over here, since all it's doing is killing innocent people in Afghanistan anyway (right pc'ers?) and drop that bomb right on top of that group of outstanding American citizens so they can carefully check it out. And while we are at it lets drop a couple more on em so they can check them for improper slang and proper verb usage.
They need to get busy being Americans and stop being so dam busy being gay or whatever the hell the politically correct word is now. Who the hell else in this country makes such a big deal about their sexuality and tries to define every facet of their lives by who they are doinking? Do pedophiles run around saying hey, you can't say bad things about us, we are peds and we are proud and we deserve extra rights because our sexuality is important and it defines us and we should be protected?
The point was made that it was dumb to release that picture, it was not a very good idea but whoever is looking as those pics and releasing them forgot that he has to make every single person in the US happy no matter what their race, religion, sexual preference and underwear size. He let that slip for a minute so let's go get his balls! Let's hang him up to appease the homos of the world! Let's go kill that mother who would dare allow such a picture out, damn him for being in the service and killing innocent people, he's just sucking the life out of the American people anyway for getting paid by taxpayers money, I HOPE HE ROTS IN HELL THAT POLLITICALLY INCORRECT BASTARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And one last thing, that link with the caption that a "Navy Officer" is signing a bomb, that is not a Navy officer, that is one of my enlisted brethren, an Aviation Ordinance man. He is doing an inspection on the ordinance using his checklist (glad to see that from a QA standpoint). He might or might not have written that but he read it and probably smiled when he did so LET"S KILL HIM TOO CAUSE HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN PART OF SOMETHING THAT OFFENDED SOMEONE ELSE OR HE AT LEAST LAUGHED AND THAT'S ENOUGH TO HANG HIM UP RIGHT, RIGHT?? I am worried that the people of this country are going to lose touch with what has happened as they get back to watching survivor and doing there daily thing. Personally I found it frickin hilarious. Laughed my ass off. The word "Fags" never even came into the equation for me. Just the overall comment on that bomb was funny. I coulda said any remark like loser or scumbag or whatever...
