I built this new server for work that is going to be a terminal server. Here are the specs:

Antec SX1030B case w/sparkle 400w PS and 4 addition 80mm high output fans
Tyan S2460 Dual AMD motherboard
2-AMD Athlon MP 1600+(cooled by volcano 5's)
1GB Registered ECC DDR pc2100 Crucial RAM
Adaptec 29160 U160 SCSI Controller(actually plugged into a 64bit pci slot)
2-IBM 18.4gb 10k rpm hdd's in a Raid 1(couldn't find any 15k's in stock.. the ones that were in insanely priced)
Intel PRO/100+ NIC
ATI Xpert98 8mb AGP
Aopen 56x black cdrom(ide)
floppy
Windows 2000 server(small business server) running terminal services

I'll do some benchmarks to see how fast this thing is(obviously not 3dmark 2k1

Very very nice rig there. Drop in a GeForce 3 500 and that would really kass.... How much did the entire setup cost ya?

Spent around 2g's on hardware and a lil over 4g's on Software and licenses.

Sandra 2001te results:

HDD(not that I place much stock in it considering it rates 7200rpm IDE faster than 10k scsi usually)

yer memory scores seem a bit low... my Tiger was getting 917/939 in Sandra.

The memory in this system is running at default 133mhz at cas 2.5... plus its ECC and Registered which will slow it down a tiny bit.

EDIT: ok, out of curiosity I ran the memory bench again-twice and both times it gave me 950/967 go figgure. what settings are you running your memory at Jim z? and what chipset was that on?

Default settings, ECC disabled. 3 256MB sticks of Crucial reg. ECC PC2100. Same motherboard you're using, but if you just got that one then it might be the third revision (I think mine's the second rev).

Isn't great?

I payed a whole $23 for that video card at newegg.com. Obviously a server's video card really doesn't matter as no one will be using the video output too much once its up and running... but I thought I'd throw a lil antique into the mix.
