It's Big, It's Bad and It's total Overkill

Post by Rooster »

I got my Swiftech MCX462 today and It's Total Overkill, But what the heck. I like it :D
80 mm Delta fan pushing 69cfm and It weighs 25.6 ounces.
I think it could make McDonald's coffee cold in less than one minute. :)
Going to install it tomorrow night.

Don't hook it to your cpu first, just let it stay as it is in the pic. Let's see if it'll fly. :D

Just be sure to have plenty of earplugs.

Wow Hoo, It's installed. Since I was pulling the mobo I bought an Antec 1030 case. I pulled the stock fans and replaced then with 4 panaflo fans.
Now my computer room has dropped 5 degrees in temp, LOL. This case is a wind tunnel. :D I can feel the air moving.
Joe, I'm using a Epox 8K7A with an AMD XP1800+, Radeon 8500, X15 drives. What have you been doing?

What temps you getting? If I were you, I would put a quieter 80mm fan on there. I LOVE quiet... :) But, you have a dang nice system, I wish I would have waited before building my first, but I may upgrade a few months down the road. :P
