Screaming bombs...Cows attacked by aliens...Getting busted by the girlfriend...Alien world/egg....
These have been previous losing concepts for our CD cover. Well, here's the latest try:
Please post your (constructive) comments. You've been really helpful in the past and I'm counting on you guys again.
In particular, does it fit the music?
Thanks!

i like the cover it is fitting for the times and the album !
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me.
My first thought was that it was way to busy but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. It does look more professional than the cows attacked by aliens.
i wood remove those silver things what are they anyway ?

For those who haven't gone to the Static site, here's what our first tape cover looked like:
It was done by a guy named Ken Talbott and it's a combination of stock photos he had (he's a graphic pro) and magazine pictures I gave him. The big angel in the back is a photo I took of a statue in the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago.
Our problem has been the difficulty in summing up our Big Ideas in pictorial form. For the new cover, I'd chosen a bunch of stock shots and just left them in layers in a Photoshop document. Tonight, I just sat down and jammed on it for a few hours, experimenting with different masking techniques. I really don't know what I'm doing very well.

Maybe incorporate some kinda hotel phone on the stand next to a clock that says like 6:00 AM or something=Wake Up Call. Focus on that and add in some other stuff like a Mushroom cloud from a nuclear explosion or something that signifies bad things that are going on in the world today(picture of guy with gun pointed at Elian type of thing). Just some ideas off the top of my head.

I agree with Kakarot, the cover you did looks cool, but if the title of the cd is "Wake Up Call" then it would be best to have like a phone or something...just my 2 centavos
I've slightly tweaked things, according to some of the feedback it's gotten.
How you like it now?
(BTW: I've seen the comments about the cover being too "busy". The label is high on the collage concept, so we're trying to make them happy. I also like the collage because the subject matter CAN'T be boiled down to ONE image. When the CD comes out and you hear ALL ten songs, I think you'll understand.)
